without a shadow of a doubt, has to be one of the fastest to grace our great sport, his fabulous trackcraft and ability to stay out of trouble, INCREDIBLE, also, the best greyhound commentary, EVER, by gentlemen,errol blythe, legendary !!!!
Have been to the last 27 Derby finals and it is hard to pick a best final. I’m Slippy was electric and Rapid Ranger.. simply awesome… The Hawk out of this world.. But Slippy Blue for me personally cos I had a £100 on him at 16-1!!! However all Derby finals are magnifique!
this was my 6th derby finals night and what a great night it was . iv seen some great dogs over the years , ballyregan bob , scurlogue champ , lartigue note , rapid ranger , role of fame , lone wolf and many many more and westmead hawk is up there with the best of them . to anyone out there thats never been to a derby finals night make sure you do it b4 you die , its an unbelievable atmosphere . great dog , great race , thanks for posting the video , great memories !!!
I’m from the US and I’ve only been to two greyhound tracks, both in the state of Arizona. This video is amazing to me….I’ve never seen so many people at a greyhound track. I’ve never heard of Westmead Hawk, but it definitely looks like he was a superstar. Listen to that crowd!

The Hawk is the best dog to have ever lived.
I was there that day and everyone on that track wanted to the Hawk to win it was amazing.
I hope he run this year as well, Can’t wait !

I was there. An amazing evening. I have only seen 1 dog better than “The Hawk”, the great “Some Picture”.

i got the 2005 one its much better but after watchin 2006 the hawk runs just the same as he did in 2005 and 2006
