I’m impressed by the officers. They remained pretty calm. I don’t know how I would have handled seeing someone “defiling a body” right in front of me.

I think people in general are too frightened to help others in need. It’s not only a canadian thing. I’m sure all those people on the bus who ran are living with the guilt of it now.

I can’t believe what a bunch of wussies Canadian men are (I am Canadian). For all their tough talk, they certainly won’t risk injury to try to safe a fellow human being. I just hope I don’t fit that stereotype if I am ever sitting on the same bus as a lunatic.

Vince Li was declared not criminally responsible by reason of insanity.
Jeffrey Dahmer was the worst a canibilistic killer in American history, and he was declared sane and sent to jail (which he was killed by a fellow inmate)
If Jeffery Dahmer was declared sane, then so should have Vince Li been declared sane and sent to jail for life.

As one person said, execute this type of criminal. If he ever becomes ‘sane’ it would bother him to say the least: how could he live with himself knowing what he did. He appeared to have been sane because he had a sense of guilt. The truly mentally ill do not feel guilt or a sense of responsibility.

By the way. The fact that this guy came on the bus prepared with a knife, and was taunting the police by waving the victim’s head in the window clearly shows that, sick or not, he had some sort of awareness of what he was doing. He made a conscious choice and he should be suffering the consequences. The Canadian government is not doing much to protect their society by treating the criminal as the victim. They’re not sending a very good message to other potential criminals either.

Vince Li could be demon possessed which would explain his evil and viscous disposition while committing the act. The Canadian justice system would scoff at this possibility though and we can see that they struggle with basic morality in sentencing criminals. All governments have a responsibility to properly maintain law and order and to carry out proper justice.

He did start to eat the head. He had his tongue and ear in his pocket when the police got him. He did not get one year. HE GOT OFF, because he was insane. He has to go to a psychiatric hospital and will be under close watch… eventually when they think he is fit, he will be let back into society.. Its stupid.
