Use cooler water, not ice cold but cool, they will get just as clean and wont collapse on you. Some just don't like it. He had cancer and I had to have him put asleep at age 10. I cried like a baby. I had 5 great years with him that I'll always remember. Never a day goes by that I don't think of him. They're very gentle and great with kids. A great pet to adopt. My greyhound JAZZ absolutely hated to get wet. Some just don’t like it.
