I could not watch this video to the end…I just wanted to wish you best of luck at becoming a vet and opening your own greyhound rescue center!! I just adopted a retired racer a month ago and she is the greatest. I am sickened that people still go to dog racing tracks and condone the way these beautiful animals are treated. Again, I wish you the best of luck!! If the greyhounds have you on their side, maybe the dog racing tracks can be totally eliminated!! That’d be awesome!!

barring any major or catastrophic injury in those cases they are put to sleep immediately and not made to suffer for long periods of time…the fact that dogs are treated like this makes me disgusted and i own a few greyhounds and i make damn sure that i am in there everyday checking on them to make sure they are being properly being taken care of because i will be the first one to murder someone over a mistreatment of a dog just because they have a bad race or are not running like they used too

My rescued greyhound is going through life on three legs – she shattered her right hock in a race and guess what? She was not TREATED for a MONTH and by that time the Achilles tendon had shortened to the point it could not be repaired. Can you imagine sitting in a cage for a month with a fractured leg? It just sickens me.

How can anyone be ok with this.

no matter what animalracing is the subject, you always hear the line “they´re treated like ROYALTY!” Yeah and how about AFTERWARDS when their performance no longer brings the owners big moneybags?

It sickens me in my guts to watch this.

What happens to these poor dogs is appauling, i am against greyhound racing as most of these accidents are fatal!!! But something that i hate is the fact that people i know and some that are “friends” are for Greyhound racing, and doesn’t like the breed just because she’s had an Afghan, their basically the same breed!!!!!
Thank you for showing people the truth of what happens in these cruel races.

i have had grehounds and whippets my whole life i have 1 now and as much as she loves to run and race me i will always be against it, my friend rescued a black gorgous greyhound he had been abused and neglected because he was no longer any good for the races, greyhounds make amazing companions and are loving and very loyal , please dont bet on this barbarik cruelty!

I feel that this is as bad as dog fighting. It’s the abuse of an animal that we as humans domesticated and then started abusing.

Although I think it is deplorable to race these beautiful dogs for the price of a bet, I find it unthinkable and truely monstrous to abandan or kill the slow ones. If the dog was good enough for someone to race, when they fail or are injured what is the reasoning behind the maiming and the torture and killing. The people who do this should be charged. It should be a crime to race them and then kill then after torturing. People are monsters.

What is really really sick is that this atrocity goes on to this day! I have recently rescued a greyhound and I can see firsthand how fragile that delicate, graceful body is! I can feel in my own bones the pain of those dreadful collisions… IT HAS TO STOP NOW!!!!!

In a way, its sick to compile a video of falling dogs like this, but i can see why you have done it. sometimes the shock value works.
