Folks here is an audio recording of Greyhound Bus #3066 a 1997 MCI MC-12 bus with Detroit Diesel DDEC series 50 engine + jake and Allison B-500 5 transmission. Folks bus #3066 was recorded in 2004 on my trip to Charlotte NC.This part of the recording was in Miami FL via the 836.

    Imagine my surprise when i first rode one of these Series 50 MC-12 buses it was bus #3047 back in 1999 that was my first MC 12 bus with Series 50 engine that i recorded before that i didn’t even imagine that there was any of these using any other engines than the 6V92TA.

    Awsome! This sounds just like an Orion V mixed with an RTS!! I never knew that there was DD50 powered MC12s.

    Great audio recording of the MC-12 bus! I’ve never ridden on the MC-12 bus that has the Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine.
