One Happy greyhound!!! I have one too. I just love it when they turn around themselves when they get excited! Mine is great with my 2 cats as well. He is the best house dog ever.
Both my greyhounds do the same thing! Also I had a greyhound, Barron who was 8 years old and 30 lbs overweight when I adopted him- he was a cute chubby boy but we worked hard and he lost quite a bit after I got him… he died of bone cancer last year Greyhounds are the BEST pets!
My grey Knobs does this, only when he’s done he usually has to go out to potty as he’s worked up some stuff…lol…I thought he did it b/c he was on the younger side, 3 yrs old, but apparently they do it even as they get older. Oh and tiredhowudoin when we adopted Knobs we made sure to find a grey that was both kid and cat friendly as we have a fat lazy cat with a really bad entitilement problem, we also have two little boys…make sure your adoption place does this
If you’re thinking of adopting, rescue groups are usually pretty diligent about checking the greyhounds’ reactions to small dogs (and cats & kids) to make sure the greyhound is compatible with the adopted family. They want to make sure they find their forever home, after all…
Yup, Ajax is adopted. We’ve had him for over 5 years now. About the smaller dog, do you ask because of the other vid with Ajax and the humpy Boston Terrier pup? She was just a one afternoon visitor with an uncontrollable desire to mount everything she came in contact with. Ajax has never had issues with smaller dogs. He’s always seemed to recognize they’re dogs and not short-legged bunnies. Cats, on the other hand… But every greyhound’s different. Some are just less curious than others.

Oh I know that feeling!

Sweet…like sweet and sour pork! He’s not really that heavy–he was only 10 lbs over his race weight, and the camera adds an extra 10

is he adopted? and was it difficult getting him used to a smaller dog in the house?

It’s like he’s going “one… two… three” and then goes mental.

What a dog. Loved it : )

We prefer to call him “girthy”…but my spouse is trying to fix that (via me & the treats). He’s dropped 5 pounds since this vid. I’ve gained 10.

No offense, but isn’t this dog fat for a greyhound?? Just curious…

This answers the oft asked “Don’t they need a big yard to run?”
