I totally agree i went on a trip on greyhound from Houston to New Orleans, and they put my bags on the wrong bus, being carelessly, and i god really mad at them, and they didnt care
It’s all supply and demand my friend. The supply in this case is limited to the one restaurant in the terminal. The demand is limited only by the number of hungry passengers. Same thing works with the restaurant. The supply of people who will take that job is very limited. If they just show up and are (kinda) sober and awake and have iq’s over 50, the management is happy to have them. As for anything untoward they may do on the job, management doesn’t give a toss.
I meant to add in that I witnessed a brutal asskicking contest between Nashville PD and a drunk guy in 2005 to one of the sentences. Caffiene is one helluva drug.
Speaking of Nashville greyhound station. I had to make a round trip to ohio from texas. On the ride back as we were leaving from Nashville terminal right by the strip club on that single road going out of the station. It was like watching a episode of cops. The food they serve though tastes like vomitt.
I agree with you 100% i,m from montreal canada.I was on grey hound there was a drunk passanenger he passed out on floor .someone conplained to driver the driver shouted at him to wake up he he didn,t respond so the driver got mad kicked the guy in the ribs that was to rough i no they have a hard stressful job but no need for that.
The Frederick, Maryland terminal acts as a transit center for city buses, Greyhound and MARC commuter rail trains. The employees there are the worst “in my opinion.” A guy was actually laying on the floor with his cell phone laying several feet from him, ….which looked like he had collapsed. The agent seemed completely unconcerned, ….like what do you expect her to do. Duh! A city bus driver had to call the police, ….as the Greyhound agent was not going to. FIRE THAT AGENT!!!!!
I am from the old Greyhound Lines. I was a driver from 1980-1992 and we treated every passenger with respect. Tha was part of our training. The “cafes” in the terminals are not owned by Greyhound, they are contracted. I wish the “good Greyhound days” would return, I am sorry that you folks had a bad experience.
I can totally agree. I drive out of dallas, and from what I have seen the drivers that have been around for a long time dont care about anything except a pay check. What they fail to realize is if they keep running the passengers away we wont have a pay check. This is why I do my best to be polite and courtease to each and every person who steps up to my bus and anyone who should have a question or problem in the terminal.
Grey Hound is the worst service in the free world The drivers is worse than the New York cab drivers. And their slogan is LEAVE THE DRIVING TO US!!! BIG ASS JOKE ON THE PUBLIC.
Greathound service is HORRIBLE.. i have to agree..never again am i going on a bus. Those workers are rude, lazy and mean! Sometimes they dont even let you get your baggage or even know where its at. Its stupid!
mybigbearron–You have a point and you are making plenty of sense. The people working there were just lazy asses who didn’t want to do anything. It’s like they don’t want to serve you. Yeah! Then, these people compIain about having no income. I probably would’ve done the same thing (i.e. walked out too). I have been to at least one ”nice” terminal but with a lot of Greyhound’s riders you have to be careful for reasons you are talking about here. Agreed big time.
I feel you. You know. I am a guy and even that (i.e. hearing people babble about strip clubs, being obnoxious, etc.) gets on my nerves too. I totally agree that, that is very unprofessional. You could’ve reported the obnoxious driver. What you are talking about sounds like North Carolina, and this cesspool is INFESTED with Floridians and especially New Yorkers. It’s up to the driver to restore order. If I were a driver for Greyhound, I would zero tolerance for obnoxious ppl. as such.
I totally agree omg, I couldn’t have said it so nicely after the HELL I was put through, I had to go from Orlando FL to New York the Bus Driver and 4 other Bus Drivers off duty were treating us customers like crap totally even making jokes and 1 of them was flirting with girls and talking about strip clubs and police avoidance when driving, real unprofessional, the off duty was occupying 2 seats and there was a poor lady with a baby who paid for the seat and had to carry the baby
Hi Guys!! Im a driver 4 Greyhound and I do agree that alot of them do have an attitude problem, Those are the ones who have been there 40+++ years, If any of you ever ride with me I promise to treat you like a human, My home base is PHX, AZ Hope to see some of you on board my bus.
x to Holbrook, Az Talk about entering the TWILIGHT ZONE and the driver EVEN told all passengers when we boarded that quote”You Have Now Entered The Twilight Zone” and that he made the rules I had to switch buses in Albuqurque NM and oh yea Im disabled and because driver TZ stuck me in the toilet on the first bus I asked driver BANDA in Al NM if he had a disabled section he refused to let me board. He said that I was drunk, Im On meds cant drink. Bus left with seizure meds. Walked back to DAL,TX
I took greyhound from Fargo,ND to Las Vegas and going there was good, but when I came back the bus going into denver was 1 1/2 late and the next connecting bus was full and i had to wait for 8 hours to get on the next bus to KC. There service was great 3 years ago but now it’s crap..
Greyhound is a joke all the way around. I would say 80-85% of the drivers that have driven the buses I’ve been on had a serious attitude problem. And don’t ever lose your tickets or your reboarding pass, or forget which bus you’re on when you take a 15 minute break, or which bus you’re getting on at your next transfer, etc. They might shoot you.
