This version has become corrupt please go to the new one at uk.youtube.com Greyhound fans will love this! This is the follow up to the original video link below www.youtube.com we follow two rescue greyhounds “Amber and Harvey” who are exercised at the local disused Spanish racetrack. The music builds to a thrilling climax as the contest reaches its conclusion. The owner loves this almost as much as the hounds!

Andrew,
What a gem you are to save these amazing animals. Can you tell me more about the Galgos racing industry in Spain? I am very much opposed to the racing industry and the cruel treatment inflicted upon these beautiful creatures. Are these dogs available for adoption in the U.S.? Thanks for the info.

BEAUTIFUL video! I could not stop the tears from coming when I saw them take flight! And after noticing that Harvey had put on weight, was wagging his tail… Great music! This video made my heart soar! Thank you! And thank you for all that you do!

im so impressed with this film -it certainly made me cry – with horror for their plight and in awe at their beauty. I don’t know much about you Andrew,as yet -there was a link to this from a sighthound website forum and it mentioned rescue. I would love to know more and will look at your other pieces. keep up the good work. Angie. XX

Many thanks for your comments they were much appreciated. The editing took quite a while and mant visits to the track.
I hoped to capture the joy that my dogs have when they are playing and running together. Because recall is not these dogs strong point the only way of letting them off the lead safely is in this diused track.
all the best

Love the Grey. Had a bitch called Josie, no good on a short race, but a winner over 600 mts. Make good pets. Keep up the good work

Could be the same, looks white from a distance but is light golden, bit of Podenco too. Been on D sector for 8 months now and does bark – loudly! Not at people, just in play with other dogs, or outside our casa at 3 am wanting our dog to come out & “play”!Don’t know if she’ll ever trust enough to be homed, people have shut their gate with her in the garden & she goes frantic with panic – shame because she’s beautiful & gentle & got a few homes waiting if she wants one! Hi Mick and Viv
Is the the white Greyhound who looks a bit like my Harvey camped on your terrace?
Either way keep up the good work. Greys are beautiful animals and are misunderstood, if only people relised how little excersise they actually need and how easy to look after and well behaved they are…..Oh and they dont really bark either!
PS they must be the worst guard dog on the planet!!!!!!

Yes they are really happy now,but the white dog (Harvey) was really suffering with depression when we got him from the rescue centre in Fuente Alamo Spain. He has cigarette burns on his hind quarters which is quite common in Spain since these beautiful dogs are treated like vermin by some of the Spanish.
Thankfully there is no permenant damage to this amasing creature. I will post the video of what he was like when we got him soon!
