I adopted my grey 3 years ago, I cannot fathom living the rest of my life without at least one of these noble animals allowing me to take care of her/him.
It’s hard having a grey, because you have to keep an eye on him all the time. There are many bad people, thieves, that steal the dogs for illegal races.
Fortunately we have many organizations for the wellfare of animals, like El REfugio, or SOSGalgos, that are working hard to make the government change the laws, and prohibit dog hunting.
But how to fight against something that’s already illegal? (galgo races are illegal in Spain).
Most of them don’t need more than two twenty minute walks a day, they’re really low maintenance in that respect. My greyhound Penny wouldn’t even have those if she had her way, she’d just lounge about the house. It’s good if you’ve got a garden they can run in a bit though, because it does do them good to stretch their legs. You can’t let them loose in public normally because they have little or no recall and if they saw a squirrel or something you’d never see them again. Hope this helps.
Lov the vid . id lov a grey hound , if i could get one i would get a pup then if all is well id adopt loads and loads ( If i could ) . how many walks do they need and for how long . please say .
Dude are you phukn kidding me? Videos hold shit that would make “you” cringe if you didn’t feel those words were appropriate. It’s the interweb not neopets….and even there it’d be okay to “discuss” such events.
OMFG… Dude… that is freaky, I adopted a Greyhound and he was the EXSACT same age as me with the same personality, then when we got homw one night, he slipped down the stairs and had to be put to sleep 2 days later, but both of our Greyhounds died the same way. Creepy. I feel your pain. Im sorry.
i love grayhounds. but its their long noses..i dont like em because unless i clip the gate with something they can use their long noses and open the gate but other wise i love the noses
my greyhound is barely 2,we adopted her about 6 months ago,she never raced, got a few scars on her,not sure what happened with her, shes the most affectionate dog ever,we had another one before her but she died from a massive organ failure at 5,we’d loe another one but we got a jack russel as well, its a full house!
Wonderful video- gorgeous kids (human and furry)
We have just adopted our first greyhound (I say first -because they are like potato chips- I know we won’t be able to stop at just one!)

Excuse me, I’m spanish, and I’ve adopted a greyhound.
Specify, why do HUNTERS, and RACERS do such things?
Most of us wouldn’t hurt an animal. A good 80% is against bullfights.
The people from Spain do nothing. Bad people ALL over the world do bad things.

My grey hound died about a month ago. He was 11 and a half. He was at the top of our stairs and and slipped at the top and fell down.

It really depends on how long they race. My oldest raced until 4, my baby didn’t cut it and we adopted her at 2. So it really depends …
