Greyhound was scary even back then. We had to take the bus once in 1970 from Los Angeles to Salinas and it was SCARY. It was my mom and my sister my brother and I and my sister and I would not sleep on the bus. We agreed to stay awake together. My mom teased us later for holding our eyes open so we wouldnt fall asleep. I still remember it. It was as bad back then as it is now!
